Prepare for your eye test.
Follow these five steps to ensure accurate results. Each step takes just a few seconds.
Stand at arm's length.
Position yourself approximately 40 cm (about 16 inches) from your screen — roughly one arm's length away. This distance is important for accurate results.
Maximize screen brightness.
Set your screen brightness to maximum and turn off any blue light filters or night mode. The test requires full brightness for accurate results.
Remove corrective lenses.
If you want to test your uncorrected vision, remove glasses or contact lenses. Keep them on if you want to check your corrected vision.
Cover your left eye.
Gently cover your left eye with your hand. We'll test your right eye first, then switch to the left eye, and finally test both together.
Identify the direction.
The letter "E" will appear in different sizes and rotations. Use the arrow keys or tap the direction buttons to indicate which way the E is pointing.
